The Global sports & culture company IMG has extended its exclusive international media, data, and streaming rights partnership agreement with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The partnership extension will allow IMG to distribute APL media rights in international markets, excluding Australia and New Zealand. IMG ARENA, the brand of IMG, will provide official data from all APL matches to its network of partnering sports betting operators.
The partnership aims to drive audience and commercial growth for APL events. The APL commissioner, Nick Garcia, expressed excitement about the partnership and the opportunity to promote Australian and New Zealander soccer. Dale Levin, senior vice president of IMG’s media business, emphasized the significant growth of the leagues in the past six years. Furthermore, IMG ARENA has expanded its partnership with Major League Soccer by supplying tracking data for MLS Next Pro. The acquisition of Leap Gaming by IMG ARENA will enhance its offering in sports betting entertainment.
